Tonight on the podcast we are experimenting with a new format. We are dividing our podcast into two parts. The first part, which will be posted tonight, will cover our fan email, our news dump, and any discussion on those topics. The second part will be released later in the week and will cover our personal topics of interest and the next round in the battle royale tournament. Let's see how it works and if we like it.
In our email tonight, Chance rags on Rhett for letting Captain Marvel lose. He then praises Rhett for reading heavy material for fun. He blasts Apple for their handling of the man who's mother left him her iPad in her will. The woman died of cancer and left the iPad to her son. The problem being that the device is locked and no one has the code. Understandably the man went to Apple, but they require written permission from the dead woman before they will help her son. Let me reiterate the operative words there, the dead woman. Chance also tells us that he would wear a VR headset, but would much rather have the full blown holo-deck. Rhett points out the obvious problem with the holo-deck, no man would ever leave his holo-deck, ever. He touches on the death of net neutrality and points out that our hope is now in the consumer, which means we are screwed. Chance also sent us an image that does us proud, take a look
On the news dump tonight, we talk about Naughty Dog fired the writer of Uncharted and got tons of grief. Disney is fire a bunch of people. They bought Playdom and now they are ditching it because it isn't profitable. Titanfall will not be released in South Africa because they don't have the internet bandwidth to support it. So much for the always on Xbone. Comcast is still trying to screw over the consumer with their purchase of Time Warner. Verizon and Netflicks are negotiating for bandwidth, just like Netflicks did with Comcast. They are definitely going to pass the savings on to the consumer after these deals go through. The CEO of Sony Entertainment America, Jack Trenton, is stepping down. And much more.
That is the podcast for tonight. Let us know what you think and tune in midway through next week to get part 2.
