Sometimes video game developers need to remember if it isn't broke don't fix it. Jason then talks about religion and science-fiction, no not Scientology, but how science-fiction portrays religion and its adherents. Rhett brings up Bioware and the up coming Dragon Age 3. We come back to his issues with changing the game play in video game sequels just so people can't say the sequel is a clone of the previous game. We also rag on Star Trek a little more in this episode, we really should get off that dead horse. Finally our Battle Royale for the evening: Frodo (with the One Ring) versus Luke "One Hand" Skywalker. We also discuss books that were adapted into movies, which ones we enjoyed, which ones should never have been made, and which ones improved on the original material. There were so many that we may need to revisit this subject in the future. We then discuss the unnecessary addition of multi-player whenever a developer makes a new game. While multi-player can be fun, it can ruin a franchise. Does anyone else remember when Warcraft was an RTS? Then in our Battle Royale we pit the Wolverine, the Best at What He Does, against the Batman, Gotham's Dark Knight. In this episode we cover: more reasons we don't like Star Trek (we actually like Star Trek, we just like pointing out the flaws, but who doesn't) Darwin and Creationism (don't worry too much we don't espouse one over the other we just talk about them). Then we get into over-reactions from liberals and Oprah not being able to buy a $38K handbag (that isn't a typo). Next we move on to Artificial Intelligence and how science is trying to fake it. Finally, we end the podcast with our Battle Royale. This time the combatants are Legolas from The Lord of the Rings, Green Arrow from DC, and Hawkeye from Marvel. Why would the Chief Engineer be the logical person to command the ship in the absence of the Captain and second in command. Also in the discussion, the "duck face", we know you do it girls. Now, stop. Please. Rhett talks video game music and which video games had music that added something to the game. Our Battle Royale this week pits James Earl Jones against Morgan Freeman.
